We are proud to offer our best-selling mug in the PANTONE UNIVERSE Marsala Colour of the Year for 2015.
Normally, we would not usually limit colour - that’s not our style, for us here at designed in colour. Generally we are of the opinion that the more colour, the better!
However this is a limited edition, just for 2015.
So, we bow down at the altar of trend and hereby declare this special colour ‘limited’. We are proud to offer our best-selling mug in the Pantone Universe colour of the year for 2015.
We only ever manufacture a short run of the nominated tone each year and when they are sold out, that’s it - they are gone. So, if you really, really do want to add one of these special mugs to your collection and be as on trend as it is simply possible to be; shop the designed in colour collection without delay.
"This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors." Leatrice Eiseman Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute®
I know what your thinking - how is it even possible to even pick a colour of the year?
So many lovely tones to choose-and where to start?
This annual 'X-factor of colour' selection requires careful consideration and PANTONE quite literally combs the world looking for colour influences.
This includes the entertainment industry, films in production, art collections, hot new artists, popular travel destinations and a myriad of socio-economic conditions.
Influences can also be inspired by technology, the availability of new textures and effects that can impact colour.
All of these ingredients are very carefully distilled and voila-the colour of the year is announced, and for 2015 it is the lovely warm, rich tone of Marsala.
For more than a decade, Pantone’s Colour of the Year has influenced product development and purchasing decisions in multiple industries, including fashion, home and industrial design,as well as product packaging and graphic design.
(Still hoping that PANTONE will take us along when they go on their next global trend-spot, as we are always ready for a new colour mission...!)
